Caltex's health & safety posters
There’s no excuse for being dull. Yet those responsible for safety communications in organisations often adopt a “goody-two-shoes,” hectoring tone to get their message across. We tried a different approach. Taking our cue from the advertising industry that uses posters to sell everything from motor cars to movies, we devised a series of well-designed A1 posters with catchy headlines to communicate monthly work-safety initiatives to refinery workers at Caltex. The result: the posters were read and talked about, and the manager responsible for initiating the campaign won a company award.
