Mission Australia's Transformations

Good design can provide a good return on investment, but we seldom have the data to prove it. So we were delighted when a client gave us some evidence and encouraged us to share it with others. In summer 09 we redesigned (and wrote) Mission Australia’s Transformations newsletter, which goes to donors to raise funds for the work the organisation does on behalf of disadvantaged Australians. The following autumn we designed an enewsletter to accompany the mailed hard copies. Measurement of these campaigns show that income for 09/10 increased by 13.7% and was more than $200,000 over target, the average gift increased by 31% and the return on investment was 493%, compared with 249% in the previous period.
